Today I got a package from TNT postal service from Holland. My A2 jacket arrived.
I promissed to have some pics posted when I got it. I'm also going to have some patches attached to it, hopefully I can find someone who can. Have no clue who can stitch patches on a leather jacket so I'll ask around tomorrow.
It's a size XXL but it fits like an XL so it's quite okay. MilTec is from Germany and I feel that the Germans make their sizes smaller than we are used too. It's made from Brown goatskin, it's very soft. Even softer than the Wested goat. Feels a bit like the lambskin but a bit stronger.

Only my opinion but don't put patches on it. They look silly unless you've earned them in combat, etc.

Patches look no more silly than wearing an Indiana Jones costume. My suggestion though would be to go with patches of historical significance. Do your homework and find out the history of the jacket that you’re trying to recreate. If you want to just slap on a bunch of patches, well that’s fine too. Cheers

I never wear an Indiana Jones costume, only the jacket which looks cool with jeans. But I know what you're saying. Some people like patches... I can't stand them. It's my problem. Cheers.

it's ready tomorrow. I have brought it to a shoe repairman who will put on a 506 P.I.R. patch, my nametag on the leftfront and the screaming eagle 101 Airborne on the sleeve.

why? I support the men of easy company ( band of brothers) Met 8 of them in person in the last two months. and i have contact with other three via e-mail and phone. Nice guys. Dying breed those men. There are only 39 of them left.
