I have to admit I prefer the wested shirt only because it is constructed like a real daily wear shirt, and I have had no troubles with it. The stitching is great and I can wear it under a suit jacket with a tie and it comes across like business wear. Then I can remove the tie, take off the jacket and I'm free to be a casual adventurer.

Thanks Erri! That really puts my mind at ease, although I must say I get really worried every time I look at it... I guess the only solution is to always have it on my back, so I won't see the seams... Out of sight, out of mind. ;)

Satipo, I'd post some pictures, but it looks almost exactly like the old MBA shirt, except the button placement resembles the screen-worn Raiders' shirt instead of the Last Crusade. Color-wise, it matches the S.O.C. scenes from Raiders, and I can't detect a trace of pink.

However, I admit that I'll probably be strictly dry-cleaning this shirt... I'd be swearing like a drunken sailor should anything happen to this shirt on my wash... watch... ;)

It's the button placement that I'd really like to see. All I can find here are pics of the MBA, which I have, so it'd be great to see an updated image. [-o<

I find the NH shirt far more comfortable than the Wested- the cotton seems so much softer- also the pocket flaps on the NH are much smaller which has a crucial effect on the overall appearance of the shirt.

I think the NH shirt looks rougher- and therefore feels more Indiana Jones... the only disappointment with the NH shirt is the finish along the bottom- it's far too rough so needs to be worn tucked in- not a big deal really...

Overall though, I'd give the NH shirt 4/5 whereas the Wested I'd give 3/5.

My five cents...

I know the feeling... ;)

Here ya go:

On second thought, I don't suppose it's really the button placement that has changed, but rather, the placement of the pockets. I'd also have posted a close-up of the loose stitching, but it looks close enough to what Nicolas already posted.

Say, Satipo, out of curiousity, is the stitching on your old MBA shirt about the same? Or does it look more 'professional', for lack of a better term?

Yay! Many thanks for the picture, Castor. This is how Noel does them as standard now, right? No special requests or anything? It looks great! Nice to see that the buttons are smaller too - more SA I reckon.

The only issue I have with my shirts' stitching is the unfinished bottom. Haven't noticed the threads being too loose, but it's certainly the unfinished, meant-to-be-tucked-in-out-of-sight look.

I'll post some pics shortly of both the MBA Raiders and MBA Temple I have.

BTW, how do the epaulettes sit on you? I always felt that on my Raiders shirt they were positioned too far towards the front of the shirt resting closer to my clavicles rather than right up on the tops of my shoulders. The Temple epaulettes rest in a better position, but they expose the shoulder seam more because they are set back from it.
