SWEEEEET looking jacket! 8)

I particularly love the fit of the sleeves. My biggest (and really only) complaint with my Wested is the massive sleeve openings. Looks like Todd has hit the nail on the head.

That jacket looks perfect on you. By that I mean it looks even more taylor made to your specs than the actual Raiders jacket, judging from the photos.

Lovely!

Man, that's looking fantastic! Todd has really pulled it all together. It just yells "Raiders". The "Made in India" look is gone. And how good is it to see such awsome pockets!? It is also the best fit I've seen.

Cheers, CM

Tech, I STILL haven't figured out why you didn't ship the first jacket over to me when it didn't fit, then get Todd to send this replacement. It would have been so simple!

Looks GREAT!

Well, as luck would have it, I DID get my hands on the returned jacket that Tech sent back.....today, no less! :D

Scary fit too! Regarding sizing, I think Sonny and I were twins, separated at birth, as the fit in the shoulders was practically tailor made for my frame. That's REALLY unusual for me! SUPER comfortable too.

You know me....I'm all about comfort and initial fit first and foremost, and this one is REALLY comfortable. You can be SA out the wazoo, and still have an EXTREMELY uncomfortable piece of clothing. What good is that, I ask you?:-s

Everything about it seems to have had really good QC throughout the entire assembly process, and that's lacking in a LOT of jackets we're getting from our vendors these days. It didn't used to be that way, but things change I suppose. Prices go up, and the quality goes down. :(

So far the only comment I would have is that, at least on me, the side straps could have been about an inch longer, but it's not that HUGE a problem. It's just how it appears to my eye and the balance of the end of straps to the the jacket. Remember, the straps are to keep the pleats from gapping, and NOT as a sizing adjustment. That's how they get torn out of jacket seam....using them the wrong way.

First jacket I've had in YEARS that the action pleats really work the way they're SUPPOSED to. :D

I haven't had THAT much time to look at it in more detail, as I had to head to work right after the try-on, but Tech, you really let a nice one get away is all I can tell you!!

More later, if you're interested in my opinion.

Thanks for the pic technonut, it looks like a great jacket and the fit looks perfect for you.

Thanks also to Michaelson for the review - I will be in the market for a new jacket soon, this looks like a very good option!

Just to update, a VERY kind member of this community purchased then gave this jacket to me as a gift this past week, and I'm beyond speechless.

I haven't said anything before now because I'm still in a bit of shock, but I want to publically thank him for his kindness toward me. I will take very good care of my new jacket.

I won't mention his name as I don't want to embarass him, but he knows who he is, and I tip my fedora to you, sir. :D

HIGHEST regards! Michaelson

Just thought I would post a couple of pics on how the jacket has been holding up for around 4 months now... I have NOT treated it with kid gloves.

The leather and lining has held up beautifully... I am just as happy with the jacket now, as when I first received it... :D

Wearing it.... Pardon the terrible pic quality... Need to clean that pesky bathroom mirror too..

um...you're suppose to wear the jacket TN....you know...during the 4 months.....

thanks for the post. it looks like todd's lamb hold's up quitet well. i have one of his first lambs that he custom ordered from the tannery and though i have really enjoyed the jacket, the backpanel was made from the thin part of the batch and therefore creased between the side straps in a butt-flap like configuration....not very SA but what can you do. good to see yours isn't doing that and that it still looks great after 4 months.

cheers,

G

Thanks Indiana G... :) I threw the jacket around, slept in it for many of the cooler spring and summer nights to break it in, and have worn it a great deal lately in the cool Portland, Oregon weather...

BTW... This is one of Todd's Cowhide jackets... ;)
