......but after 3.5 years of wear. I have tried this twice before, right after I got the jacket and about a year into wearing it. I was trying to see if I could get the leather to soften up some more. Both times I found that I was wiping off EVERYTHING I put on the jacket; it just wouldn't take the treatment with the dense nature of the leather. I used the Pecard's Jell (or Cream) and this time I was careful to put a VERY light coat on the jacket. I let it sit for 2 days. This time I found that I was only wiping off about 30% of what I had put on, so its still resisting some, but all the areas that have some wear soaked up the jell pretty good. All the distressed points darkened up (as is normal with P's). When I was through, the leather felt very supple.
So for all you HH owners out there...wear the heck out that jacket for a few years before even trying to put Pecard's on it. Get it soaked in the rain a few times before then too, it will help loosen that HH up without all the wasted elbow grease.
