I know this is the most random question, but has anybody ever bought an Indy repro gunbelt (NH, Keppler, etc...) for use as a normal belt? I'm actually considering doing this, as I don't envision myself walking around with a holster in plain view anytime soon...
Besides, it would be great for those of us who prefer to go Indy under-cover... That is to say those of us who try to incorporate our 'gear' into our daily lives without trying hard to look like Indy
So I have to know... Gunbelt as a Regular Belt? ;)

Raiders Gunbelt
Since my Raiders Gunbelt has the whipholder correctly attached, you would have a REALLY hard time stuffing it through the belt loops.
Re: Raiders Gunbelt
I was actually going to ask if the whipholder came off on your gunbelt.. because I didn't think so, but then I assumed it did since they were considering it. lol guess you can't actually unscrew it?Lee Keppler wrote:Since my Raiders Gunbelt has the whipholder correctly attached, you would have a REALLY hard time stuffing it through the belt loops.

I have always used my gunbelts as daily belts and therefore bought them in a smaller size. When I made the gunbelts for sale I offered them two ways: One with Your "normal" waistsize hole as the inner hole, making it suitable for using as a gunbelt when the outer hole was used. Otherwise You could have the middle hole (we used 5 holes in all) as Your everyday-size with the possibility of making it loose fit using the outer hole.Castor Dioscuri wrote:That is to say those of us who try to incorporate our 'gear' into our daily lives without trying hard to look like Indy
Hope You undertstand what I mean by inner and outer hole )
I use my Indy-gear every day "undercover" as You say it. My Aldens would never give it away unless You meet a fellow Indy-gearhead, the shirt (I use the Wested-shirt's as part of my normal wardrobe) is comfortable and noone knows it origin. The belts come in handy both summer and winter - webbing for dress chinos and gunbelt for jeans.
The jacket goes without saying, it's just part of my "look" )
The bag is practical for the things I bring to work everyday, so actually it would not take more than the Fedora and whip/holster to make the gear complete on many days...
Cheers
