Victory S&W

Post by Kt Templar »

Well I recently caved and bought Ben's secondhand Victory.

It's a beauty and puts the airsoft I had been using to shame. If I get the courage I may try to mod the barrel, I am on the look out for good grips and a lanyard ring, but even so this rocks!

Cheers BEN!

Nice, Kt! It looks great! I think the Victory is a great gun, even if it isn't the HE-2. Here's how yours compares to my authentic WWII S&W Victory.

You know what they say about guys with long barrels....

They shoot further!

The one I got is a model gun as we don't do real guns here.

Yet yours still looks like a real gun, Kt. I don't think I could ever cut down the barrel on mine, though!

I found a Victory that looks a little different with a wood handle and lanyard ring, unfortunately they're SE and the cheapest I found was $355! Here's a nice picture I found though.

The one I posted is like a Airsoft BB gun, so yes it shoot BB's and is technically a reproduction as well.

I think you are looking for what I have... A real victory looking about what like KT posted but the grips were cracked. New grips, barrel mod and new sights plus a general rebuild addad just under $300. But she fires and she's accurate...
ah, no.. I left out one important part. any AIRSOFT close enoughs? like, if I wanted to get an accurate looking gas powered .44 magnum, there are plenty of them.. even for under $50. are there any like Indy's?

yah, I saw that one in my search before.. the handle seems a little reddish, but mainly I didnt like it because the "hand ejector" part of it is so thick and goes so far down the barrel. if I cut the barrel to fit my raiders holster, it would be too thick, no?

I don't know, have never bought a Airsoft revolver so I'm not quite sure if it will fit or not I would think it would though, it's about the same size as all the other ones out there like Kt Templar's S&W Airsoft.

Also I've seen people mention this one a few times as well.

that one has a much better colored grip.. of course, then there's the rest of it.

one thing I was wondering.. where did Indy have his 1911 during the raven shootout? I know he fires his first shots with the s&w.. then he's shot at, then all of a sudden he's firing back with the colt again. I always thought this was a continuity error.. either that or it just makes no sense, but I never saw anyone else mention it. regardless, since he does have the s&w at first, I imagine it was in his holster... where did he pull the colt from? and why? is there any reason to believe that he ever holstered the colt at all?

Snipes, that's my favorite bb gun version of this revolver. And my understanding is that the front contour part of the grip is removeable.

Nice to know because I wasn't really feeling the grip. So I take it this should fit into something like Todd's S&W Holster relatively nicely?

My real Victory fits nicely in the Todd's holster with the the barrel almost sticking out the end, but that's only because it's a 5 inch barrel.

He had it stuck in the back of his waistband. The order of firing is a continuity error. I know there are a couple threads that detail how the sequence was shot and what happened in editing.

For the folks looking for reasonably priced "real" Victory models and 1917's (and Webleys for that matter) you should watch the online firearms auction sites. They're like ebay for guns.

I've been watching varying qualitys of 1917's going for $3-$600.

You place your bid, if you win you have the seller transfer the gun to your local licensed dealer, they take care of meeting all appropriate Fed, state and local regs, and you have your Indy gun.

http://www.auctionarms.com/

http://www.gunbroker.com/

http://www.gunsamerica.com/

All fully legal and the same as walking into your local store (which is what you do to take possession), just with a much better selection.
