bag measurements?
does anyone know what the proper indy bag measures? I just got one today in the mail and it looks a bit small.. wondering if I need to go with something else.

Don't sweat it, you've probably got the right size!
I wondered the same thing at first, and this thread was all the reassurance I needed. viewtopic.php?t=22774

well, I found the dimensions with a quick search.. it says "almost" 10" tall by 10" wide and 3" deep. mine is pretty much right on the height and about an inch short in length. I just find that 10x10 hard to believe. there are plenty of pics where the bag looks to be well over a foot wide.. specifically the famous picture of HF in the directors chair during raiders. but as usual, if you guys say it's right, I'll go with it..
ah, you beat me by a couple of seconds there. I still think that the pic of him in that chair shows a larger bag.. camera perspective or not. but after seeing this pic:Castor Dioscuri wrote:Don't sweat it, you've probably got the right size!

Even at 6'2", the bag fits me on the side in almost exactly the same way, just nearly covering my entire hip, and I have a 33" waist. soo.. even though the bag looks like a camera pouch, I'll stick with it. kind of thought it would be cool to use to collect candy with when I take my cousins trick or treating, but 3 bite sized snickers and I'm done.

Re: bag measurements?
I found my MK VII to be smaller but not too small to be useful. I find it very useful for day trips but certainly not large enough or practical enough for a laptop. Remember these things were made for gas masks.ztmario wrote:does anyone know what the proper indy bag measures? best and congrats on the new bag. You will come to love it quickly I am sure.

Look at the drastic difference in size of these two bags. Big one is a MKVII, Canadian. The smaller is a MKVI.

You do, of course, realize that Harrison Ford is almost as tall as you? His height is 5' 11¾" or (1.82 m). So if you are saying that someone that is just about 2 inches smaller than you is wearing their bag almost identically, then you can't beat the matching fit.Castor Dioscuri wrote:Don't sweat it, you've probably got the right size!
