Another Look-alike Indy Shirt
Hey Guys,
I found this shirt while surfing the web. I would like to know what you think. Its a Gramicci talus, and they're going for $52

are you sure on the epaulets? won't fit me, but I've got 2 more peeps to dress up $$$$$$IndyMcFly wrote:Oh my gosh... you know what? That's not perfect, but that's the only shirt I've seen with the pleats AND epaulettes that's not supposed to be an Indy shirt. That's really close for just a regular... uh.... civilian shirt. The color is nice, too!
Great find!

Interesting! Too bad there are no closeups on the epaulettes, they seem odd, but I can't tell. The Stone color is pretty good, and light enough to dye over if someone wants to (if it's cotton, anyway).
The pleats don't continue down below the pockets, but otherwise the particulars are pretty close...
...except those darn metal buttons. They could be swapped out for a different set of matching color buttons by a tailor, but at what cost on top of the $52 not-exact shirt? If it gets you up to the price of one of the repro shirts, it might not be worth it, unless you want to do the sewing yourself...
...man I hate sewing buttons. I need a new thimble.
'Gerry Jones', thanks for the link!

Jer - you can sew? I think that's a good skill to have. I know that when I break something that needs repairing, I have to find a relative who sews, or ask my sister (who doesn't do a great job, but you know... she tries!). I sometimes wish I could sew - then I could fix things myself!
I didn't notice the pleats stopped beneath the pockets... that's pretty weird.
In Christ,
Shane

(I've ALWAYS wanted to use that)
That shirt is awesome ! But why, why, WHY would they stop the pleats at the pockets. Didn't they think it looked incomplete . I suppose that one could either buy a size or two bigger and use the extra material to finish the pleats or buy two and use the other shirt for material - but then again, if you're gonna buy two, you may as welll just buy from any one of our vendors here
