A picture of my gear so far

Post by Guardian Devil »

I've been a collector of replicas of the props from the Indiana Jones movies for a long time and have almost filled an ikea 'Detolf' case with the stuff, but apart from my jackets, I've only recently been moving into replicas of the gear, so I thought I'd post a quick picture to show how its coming along.
Image
My unissued MkVii bag
HJ fedora from Todd with last crusade styling
Pure beaver Adventurebilt hat
My new alden boots (arrived this morning :D )
Crystal skull (quartz) with articulated jaw
6ft bullwhip from Louie at bullwhips.org (waiting on a 9ft DM hide whip from Pagey)
NH Last crusade gun belt
Webley replica from Artsee (waiting on a webley holster to put it in that TR has helped me out with getting)

:D Im really looking forward to the whip arriving BendingOak, I've seen you speak very highly of Pageys whips in the past and it being a DM hide whip, I couldnt pass it up!
The whip I've just bought from Nick is the one pictured here:

Aparently the television company in Germany it was made for has decided to go for a shorter whip, so I got the chance to get this one!

As for the skull, it was a gift from a friend at work. She's really into all sorts of gothic things and has a large collection of skulls and what-not :? when she heard about the title for the new film, she thought I'd get a kick out of it. It's truly breath taking, I love it, it's very detailed and quite large. It's far better than any I found to buy on the internet when I was searching for one. It sits proudly in amongst my raiders props at the moment.
Here's a close-up:

Very nice gear. Say, how do people manage to post pics inside their messages like that? I have tried, but the best I can do is a link to photobucket. What is the trick here?

When you're posting, there's a little tab above the posting box that has "Img" in it. It turns on the code... you input the location of the image, click "Img" again to "close" the code, and voila!!!

Picture!!!

cheers,
