I got my first LC Wested last week. I am just now getting around to posting some photos. When I received it, since it was a predistressed cowhide I was surprised by how light it was. I took it home and applied some Pecards and it really brought the leather to life. I used rubber gloves to apply the treatment and it worked much easier than using my bare hands.
The photos show the jacket in different lighting. I aslo inlcuded a photo of the leather facings that I have not treated yet so you can see the difference the Pecards makes.
This was a custom order with my name sewn into the jacket and the leather lining on the pocket. Cotton lining for the body and silk for the sleeves. I had silk linings in another leather jacket and over time the lining shredded so I went for longevity rather than SA. I had a chance to thank Peter in another thread.
I placed the order on 8/11 online, got a response the next day, and the jacket was shipped on 9/14 and I received it on 9/17.
So far I am really pleased with the jacket and the process.
Thanks for all your posts that helped me to make my educated decision on what style I chose. _'s jacket in the gear history really sold me. Now I just need my HJ to come from Magnoli and I will be ready for fall.
Cheers,

We'll need to see pics of the jacket on ya to see how well it compliments you!
Judging from those pictures though, it looks like quite the chameleon with the color changing between shots! I'm not a big fan of the over-sized pockets myself (after only recently finding out the joys of smaller pockets), but the jacket as a whole looks like it will be exceptionally comfortable for a cowhide jacket! Is it as soft as those pictures make it out to be? If so, then you certainly have a lifelong companion as it will get ya the best of both worlds.
Btw, two of those photos don't work.

I think I have fixed the photos (for now). The jacket has a very contrasting look when using the flash or not. It actually is darker since I treated it. The cowhide is very soft. Its not a heavier hide so I find it to be very comfortable in cooler weather. I really like the way it darkens up as I treat it.
I will try to get some photos wearing it when it cools down more here in CO. Try to make a trip to the mountains soon.
Just need my HJ from Indy Magnoli. It's been taking longer since Fedora's is tied up in the Indy 4 production. Hopefully, I will hear something soon.
