Looking for Photos for main page - Holsters...

Post by Minnesota Jones »

Say, anyone have good clear photos of holsters for the main site? I'm working on it currently and need good sharp photos of holsters. Would prefer photos of just holsters, in a neutral background if you have any. Fronts AND backs of holsters would be great.

Mainly looking for Todd's Costumes holsters, both Basic and Deluxe Raiders, as well as Todd's Webley holster, any Noel Howard holsters (all 3 movie versions), and any Lee Keppler ToD/LC style Webley holster shots. Also Western Stage Prop's Raiders holster too! You can post them here or PM them to me, links or photos. Of course, once done, these photos would be the property of IndyGear.

Thanks all! :)

Here are some of my NH...not sure if you are looking for ones fresh out of the bag or ones that have had a little distress work on them. However...i hope this helps and if you need any other particular shots let me know an i will try to hook you up with some.

Those first photo's are exactly what I'm looking for. Currently (until now) I had just one photo of the NH. Distressed or not, doesn't matter to me. Great photos and they'll be right clicked tonight! :)

I have the holster from Texas Action Gear. Would that be of any interest?

YES! He may no longer be making them, but we can document it on the main page. If you can get me some photos (front and back) similar to the Noel Howard holster above, that would be incredible. You can post them here, or PM or email them to me. THANKS! :)

It's also new to me. The placing of the rivet on the gunbelt indicates that there would be another one right beneath it, meaning two rivets placed vertically.
I dont think we can tell if the buckle here is brass or not, but it could be.

The buckle shown here is "the closest I can find" according to Noel Howard and I dont think its totally way of, but the buckle in the LC-photo seems to a little more round edges.

Sorry to hitchike this thread with gunbelt-talk, but I have asked for gunbelt information many times with very few answers.

Well, the holster in that photo does'nt seem to hold any gun, does it? Must be a very flat one then...

Nice stuff guys. I'll add those to the page I'm working on too! The more the better. Then I'll let Mike figure out of the 80 some photos what to keep and what we don't need. But I'll put them all out there to start. Keep 'em coming!

Anyone have a Todd Costume Webley repro holster? I need some more photos of that (just have one so far).

And thanks KT for that great LC shot! It appears both belts are being held together by the whip holder... hmmm... very interesting!

So far, I have a TON of Raiders Keppler holster pics, thanks everybody!

What I'm still looking for are:

Photos (front and especially back) of Todd's Basic holster
Photos of Todd's Deluxe holster (front and back both)
Photos of Todd's Webley repro holster (front and back both)

Thanks! :)

This is my Western Stage Props holster.. it's brand new and hasn't been so much as worn outside, so there's not much distressing. Since Keppler used to make them at one time, they seem to be identical to his offering, except for the stamp on the back.

I thought Lee Keppler had gotten a look at a movie used holster and based his on that. I have a NH holster. Very nice quality but he told me that it was based on, I think, a vintage WW1 holster. There is a little metal ring on the back of his holster (as I am sure you know) which I believe was used for hooking it to a cross chest holster strap. Never felt it was SA but I love the British made leather products he had made. He also told me that leather making is a dying art and he is having a tougher time finding good leather makers.

Minnesota,

As promised, here are new pics of three of my holsters:

"Standard S&W" (new - this replaces the "basic" holster)

Image

"Deluxe S&W" (new pictures - new leather)

Image

And the new "Standard Webley" holster:

I will have new pictures of the "Deluxe Webley" holster soon. Let me know if you need them in a different size.

For the sake of completeness, here are some shots of the holsters I make for Indiana Dudley's lost-ark.net site.
More and bigger photos available if wanted.

The budget version is meant for affordable costume use with the plastic guns we are allowed here, and the de-luxe with stitched in plug is a usable holster.

Design is based on a Webley, with Raiders cosmetic changes, and, in places which aren't visible on screen, some input (shape inside and belt loop) from a sharp shooting customer, which we hope will make them more usable in practice.
