KT gets an LC

Post by Kt Templar »

After seeing the new revised Wested LC I had to give it a go... it's not a Raiders with poppers on the flap, it's quite a different jacket in fit and detail. The sleeves may be a tad long, I'll wear it a bit and see. :).

I've got it in a new darker predistressed cowhide.

I really like the jacket! It is hard, though, to tell that it's predistressed in certain shots, although I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing... ;) Is the color dark brown, or more like their previous predistressed lamb's lighter brown? And killer pockets! ;)

One thing, however, I would change is the back panel: IMO, the LC had something of a V-shaped taper to it

I do think that looks more LC than the others I've seen in the past. I also think the sleeves will "shrink" a little as you wear it (as you probably know) and then it should be fine... I think. Great jacket!

I can't figure out how to post screen-caps, but it seemed clear to me that the LC jacket had a tapered back panel... I did a quick search and came upon this, btw: viewtopic.php?t=8321

The jacket looks really good, KT. The sleeves are a tad long, as you said, but it might work out in the end when you have to reach for something. My sleeves are measured to fit, but whenever I reach for something, the sleeve rides halfway up my forearm, darn near.

When I got my first leather jacket back at the dawn of man, my sleeves looked just like yours. My mom told me that leather tends to bunch up over time, but I didn't listen and had her shorten them for me anyway. Even though she did a great job, I was later sorry I did that.

Your jacket looks great in fit and color, and eventually the sleeves will probably wrinkle and ride up to just the right length.

Thank you folks, I'm very pleasde with the way it looks and feels.

G it's pretty much standard LC apart from it's made to fit me :)

Peter had a name for the leather, something Italian... I can't remember it LOL.

KT, excellent jacket. Nice size pockets and nicely scalloped flaps. The collar is dead on and the body and sleeves very remininding of the real thing. Probably the best LC I've seen. Bravo.

I particularly like how the back pleats fall on you. They don't pull open at all with the arms down. Sweet jacket!

The name of the skin is Novapelle and it what I am now using as the new predistressed as it has a soft handle and mat finish with that slighty worn look.
I also have new predistressed seal brown lambskin in stock jackets and the ROLA authentic in seal brown yet to be put on the webpage.
Cheers

My only problem with those finishes is that they tend to soak up water like a sponge if you get caught in a rainstorm.

Give me the good old solid surfaced hides anytime, Peter!

But for you 'predistressed' fans, sounds like another homerun!
