Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector, 2nd Model

Post by thePawn »

Here's pics of my modified Raiders Smith & Wesson. I had it modified by a gunsmith in Arizona recommended by Lee Keppler. I had it modified to to take Colt 45 shells. The holster is from Noel Howard.

You know the pix are huge when you can actually see the weaving of Blue tarp   .

Very nice, Pawn. Truely looks like it belonged to Indy himself.

Contact Lee Keppler, he knows the gunsmith well. I can't remember as I ordered my modifications several years ago.

If I'm not mistaken, that mod looks fairly well like the work of Jack DeVore....

From a Lee Keppler post from almost five years ago:
In my opinion, the best person to do the Bapty or Stembridge gun conversion, and lengthen the chamber and trim the ejector star for .45 Colt is Jack DeVore in Flagstaff, AZ. He did most of the work at Reeder Custom Guns(www.reedercustomguns.com) and is now on his own. He's working on an 1895 Marlin for me right now.

Give Jack a call at 928-526-7718 and tell him Lee Keppler sent you.
I'm not sure that the phone number or location are still the same, but it may well be.... Glad to stop back by the old stomping grounds. Best regards to everyone!

I'll also state Jack DeVore coverted my S&W HEII as well, and it's fantastic. He definately is top notch.

He did mine, as well! He took a while to finish it, but his work is TOP NOTCH. I wish I would have had him do the .45ACP conversion on it.

BTW, there are a couple of cheap S&W .455 Model 2 Hand Ejectors on Gunbroker.com right now...
