Todds Last Crusade style HJ

Post by Guardian Devil »

Hi everybody,

I am just about to order my Herbert Johnson Fedora from Todds Costumes along with the "Last Crusade" Venice Pier styling' option and just wondered if anyone had ordered the same and had any good pictures of it on or of it on display?
I'd love to see some pictures of these with Todds LC styling

a fine choice...not only is it the right hat for the bash but todd does excellent work in bashing those hj's.....he did a phenomenal job with my very first hat with the brim shape (peru/raven bar scene).....and as good as anyone can get with the crown he had to work with.

i'm looking forward to see your pics......ahhhhhh venice :D

i forgot to mention, i tinkered around with my hj for the venice pier look....very different if you are accustomed to the raiders hat. the brim is quite flanged up to the rear of the hat giving it a look of a smaller brim and hence a smaller hat.

the brim is substantially flatter in the motorcycle chase scenes iirc.

regardless, todd's hj's seem to be destined for this look. you'll be getting the right hat with the right styling.....now call peter for an LC wested and put them together and post pics :D

I just want to add that it's possible that the brims on the film-used LC hats not only look smaller, but actually are smaller. It's hard to be certain, because no one seems to have the exact specs for the hero hats, but some Indy hats sold by Herbert Johnson around the time of LC do have narrower brims.

But anyway, Todd's hat does look fantastic, from the photos I've seen of it.
