My new Federation Deluxe
This is my new Federation Deluxe. How is my Bash? This is only my second Bashing a fed.
I'll post more pics when i have more time.

I'm thinking maybe get that front pinch a little more defined, solidify the dents on the sides. Just generally get the bash in there a little more. I think it looks nice so far, but that's personally what I would do with it if it were mine. What size is that? It looks pretty straight sided, so I'm curious. Also, a couple of shots of you farther away from the camera would be good.
Close up shots generally make the hat look more tapered than it really is, but also, shots taken farther away from the camera give the light a chance to play on the hat, and as I've said before (even though all the photos are now gone from that thread), a lot of the "look" of an Indy hat is in the lighting.

Yes, very good job so far IF89!
I would also just define the bash a bit more, but one thing that will help is to work on side dents, to form some good "support ridges" (Tone knows all about this trick) that will help keep the sides straight. Overall, though, it's looking pretty good! I'd like to see a few more pics as well!

A Canon: How's about a "refresher" on how to form those "support ridges?"GCR wrote:Yes, very good job so far IF89!
