Hi all,
I thought with THAT size, the hat's worth showing off.
The owner has a head size of 63.2cm (round about 24 7/8" or a size 7 15/16"), so this is the biggest hat I've made to date.
In order to keep the proportions right, I used an open crown high of 6" and a brim width of 79,2mm x 72,3mm (round about 3 1/8" x 2 27/32"). I added a vintage 42mm ribbon (in opposite to the 39mm ribbon) - again to keep the proportions.
Regards,
Marc

I recently spoke to Joe Peters of Peters Brothers Hats, and he told me he recently made one for a fellow in just over a size 8!!!
There are some BIG melons out there!!!
This one is a beaut, Marc. If you hadn't told us the size, it would just look like any other of your fine offerings.
HIGH regards! Michaelson

why would anyone with heads that size need a fedora? wouldn't the little moons orbiting his noggin collide into the brim causing an upset in the gravitational system?
.....oh man.....
....i do have a big head!

Even the big giant heads deserve a quality chapeau. Well done Marc.

Holy mackeral!! A head that big would have it's own gravitational pull, and weather system!! Try throwing things at his head, see if they go into orbit, lol

Stuart Mackenzie: I'm not kidding, that boy's head is like Sputnik; spherical but quite pointy at parts! Now that was offsides, wasn't it? He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.

I still think Benito Mussolini holds the hat size record (one of my great-grandfather's friends smuggled most of Mussolini's hats back to the US. They're size NINE!!!)

I wonder if Marc's client is reading this thread.
If he is, he's probably wondering why a crazy kid started talking about Mussolini.

Good point.
