Any word from Bernardo @ Del Carpio whips. Peru had a devistating earthquake and I'm a bit concerned.

I believe August 15th is when it occured - good to know he is well!

I didn't know about the earthquake, but I did talk to him yesterday.

Hi,

My family and I are luckily fine, thank you all for your concern. We barely felt the earthquake here in Arequipa, as it was located further north, and it caused significant damage to the city of Pisco, where many of the houses are old and are not made of concrete. You see, most houses in Peru have to be constructed using concrete and bricks due of the regular earthquakes we have.

BTW, it was good to see that the U.S. among other countries, helped by sending literally tons of donations to those affected by this terrible tragedy.

i'm glad to hear that you are ok bernardo. my heart however goes out to those who were effected.
