An introduction...and my first piece of gear!!!

Post by IrishIndy »

Hi All,
I'm a long time reader/lurker but I thought i should finally post since I just ordered my first Mk VII from Kevin at Endicotts. Kev was fantastic to work with and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction into the hobby. I'll definitely post pics when it arrives but mostly I just wanted to say hi!

I must say that you've made a really, really wise choice with the MKVII.

Of all the gear that I have so far, none of them just screams Indy the way my MKVII does, even when it's just sitting by itself in a corner... It looks almost as if it fell off the screen!

Thanks for such a warm welcome guys! I already can feel a new obsession taking hold (never a good sign) :?

Renderking Fisk: I've been into Indy in general for ages but always more towards the memorabilia side of the spectrum rather than on screen gear. That said, I'm a film student and love the 30's and 40's. The style and class, but mostly the movies. I'm a sucker for noir. (fedoras everywhere) 8)

Dostacos: Too late to leave the wallet but tuition stunk it dry already anyway. But I'm sure I'll find some wiggle room for the next piece of gear...and the next...and the next...

That's it....You're screwed now! It all starts so innocently with one piece of gear.

Just wait until you've got the rest of the gear. Believe me. There's no going back.
