Just a mention - In the new video on indianajones.com Spielberg picks up a Jones hat at the end of the video and it appears almost to have a black lining in it.
Anyone do an enlargement?
Is it really black or did they just take the lining out?

If it has a black lining then that means we could hat a stuntman walking around looking for his hat.

Well apparently it doesn't have a ribbon...there's no saying it is even Indy's hat.

I thought it was black too, the first time. If you take a closer look, it might just be the fact that it's all in shadow. The sweatband is definitely black, but the liner seems lighter.

I don't think there IS a liner in that one. The inside is the same color as the underside of the brim. The liner is gone.

I agree you can see a black sweatband. And it appears like there is no liner. Maybe that hat is destined for dirty work and the liner was left out.

Interesting. Does anyone know who might be making hats with black sweatbands? Hmmm. Curious.

lol. *still has no idea where the plymouth joke came from*
Seriously, looks like some stunt hat to me. Unless Adam Savage visited the Indy 4 sets and somehow had a black headband in his fedora.

Jared,
The "plymouth joke" arose from the fact that Michaelson owns a plymouth, and it's so big that when the junk hits the fan, it's what you hide under.
Anyway, that doesn't even look like Indy's hat.

The sweat is dark brown. No liner, with padding in front to keep the hat on. A stunt hat for sure. IMHO. Fedora

Good eye, Steve!
It makes me wonder what happened to the poor stuntman?
