Whip Holder.

Post by IndyFan89 »

I bought a whip holder from Todd's and i had a qeustion. What is the best way to put the whip on it so it dosen't slide. I have a 8 foot IOAB and as i walk the whip falls out. Is there any way i can get it to stay in there?

todd's is the velcro adjustable whip holder. it is well made and comes with a good snap. unfortunately, though it is better than the standard non adjustable loop that you get from NH, the whip will eventually slide due to the weight of the handle unless you secure the handle in the loop as well (like in the well of souls scene). todd's setup will work quite well with that set up as long as you're not running around and jumping.

the best ones that i have used are the non-slip whip holders which actually tie the whip to the leather and cinches it up. if you do a search you will see these. i have mola ram's version and it works very well. the only thing wrong with these is that the whip is close to the belt, not SA as indy had some dangle on his :D

Any other source for screen accurate non-slip ones than Whipartist?

Not sure any of them are screen accurate since the construction is different but Adam makes a good one:

If you REALLY want true screen accuracy, then stitch the whip to the whip holder...

I've got Adam's non slip holder, and it works great.
