Indy's jacket from Mystery of the Blues

Post by Doctor_Jones »

Hello

I was wondering, can anyone post those pics again of "old" Indy from the Mystery of the Blues. The ones he was in company of the Indian. Where you can see his mobile phone.
Would really want to see those again. Those are great stills from the jacket.

Regards

I have this one.

It's from a thread where we were talking about Indy zipping up his jacket.

It's interesting that he doesn't have his gun, holster or bag in the scene.

Hey, this could be what Indy looks like in the next movie, but hopefully sans the beard. Indy could have a shoulder holster for all we know, just like I said.

Good picture of that jacket. Good point about the pocketplacement. It doesn't look that good in my opinion. So I guess the next jacket for the next movie will be made like the jackets are made now.

And its an LC jacket all right.

Hmm....

There are those smaller looking pockets again.

I tell ya, that LC jacket is looking more and more like my US Wings jacket every time I look at it.

Well, there has been lots of talk about those "smaller" pockets of the Wested. Maybe it is just in our imagination that they look like that or maybe the overall lenght of the jacket has something to do with it. When I look at my Wested goat and compare it to the pics of MK's latest Wested, the pockets on mine seem smaller but I think it has to do with the lenght of the jacket as well because I asked for a bit longer Wested jacket. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say here.
But I could be wrong here aswell...

Oh I understand...

Post by Indydawg »

what you're saying, but I'm not saying that the current Wested LC issue is NOT a good reproduction of the LC jacket...to be honest, I have YET to see one of their latest issue of the LC jacket. I'm just talking about how really LC-ish the US Wings jacket really is.

For years, everyone has talked about how the Wings jacket is more of a TOD jacket. I'm just disagreeing with that sentiment and saying that I think that the Wings jacket is as much, if not MORE, of a LC jacket repro than a TOD...

Sorry if I confused....

Thanks Pyro. It does look like it could be a walkie talkie to me as well. Looks to me like a short antenna is on the (screen) right side of it. And walkie talkies would go better with the era than a cell phone would.

Maybe this answers the other thread of what type of gun Indy will have on his belt?!

Have you noticed a pattern yet?

We've been around long enough to notice that this particular outfit always becomes a topic of discussion in the dead of winter. Guess the cold and snow reminds us that Indy actually got cold too, as opposed to how we saw him in Napal in Raiders, right? Regards. Michaelson

I kinda like the beard.... 'course I'm sporting one now during the cold months.

I believe the reason for the beard was because Ford actually took a break from "The Fugitive" to film the Indy intro. Notice his hair is the same length as Dr. Kimball's too.

Well these stills are from the Young Indiana Jones Series. In particular, these stills are from "Mystery of the Blues".

I believe I recal someone mention they are from the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Mystery of the Blues, where old Indy (Harrison Ford)reminisces about his days in Chicago.

The radio looks to be a Motorola MT500, those were not even around in the 50's, more like 80's, they used them in Ghostbusters as props as well.

The fedora looks awful in that picture. Haven't seen that episode yet, must look out for it. Is Mr Ford in it much?

From what i recall (it was on at xmas but i only caught the latter half) he's in it for a few minutes at the beginning and end (maybe in the middle as well?).

The thing i remember most is the worst choreographed fight scene in living memory - Old Indy swipes a punch at a bad guy, misses him by about half a metre and the bloke still goes flying...or was it the other way around? :?

They shot the scenes with HF within one day, which probably explains poor staging. As for the hat, it looks bad in that scene because Harry almost lost it while getting out of the car, and just had to jam it back on. He's pretty rough on his hats, unlike most of us

Actually, Indy has an LC holster just moments after he gets out of the truck. The walkie-talkie "changes" into a holster. Look closely. As he's walking away from camera towards the small cabin, you'll see the holster.
