It has begun...
Just ordered a Todd's jacket in cowhide. Now the wait begins. I'll admit, it was tough to pull the trigger on the jacket, being the most expensive indy gear piece, but I have been "jonesing" ( pardon the bad pun) for a jacket for years now, so its about time I guess. Now the wife is free to get me a Akubra Fed for my birthday...much easier on her pursestrings than a jacket!! Man, I'm getting excited!
How true! You wait in eager anticipation for something you have on order, whether it takes weeks or months. When it arrives, you are all excited. Then it dawns on you that you don't have anything on order to wait for. Medication is the only solution in the interim until the next order. 8-[Indiana G wrote:no ydam....whats worse is not having anything on order. then it feels like you're not contributing to your hobby......thats why i need medication

Why no whip? Good question. At this point, I want my Indy gear to be for more "every day use" if that makes sense. Now, how many practical times can I wear a leather jacket in Louisiana is another good question!
I have already begun wearing my "close enough" shirts, web belt, and boots to work. If i keep adding a piece here or there, my co workers might not realize my infatuation with all things Indy!!

NO! Once you eat a whole pan of Craklin' Cornbred in one sitting and washed down with several glasses of sweet tea. Refer to were you live buy the county's name unlessy your live in the city. Learn to Love SEC College Football. Then and only then you might fit in a little.Michaelson wrote:Funny, I've lived in the South for almost 18 years now, and I haven't said that.
Once you get the hang of eating grits and baking/frying corn bread, only THEN might you fit in.

Tell me about it. I WORK for UT (Space Institute in Tullahoma). When they made that change, it really screwed up the works for those of us outside the main campus, as all our auto dial phones, faxes, codecs, etc. had to be changed to reflect that dang area code.greatgarlando wrote:Well Knoxville is only a 2hr drive from me. I might have to give you a crash course one weekend. Tennesee is obsessed with their Football, didint they ghange the area code arround Knoxville to 865 (Vol) Aka, Vols. that is takeing it a bit too far.

i have been to TN a few times actually. I used to be one of the sports photogaphers for the University of Arkasas and got to snap some pics one of our football games their...yes...we lost. I am also a big Dave Ramsey fan so i have been to Nashville a few times to hear him speak. Oh...and my brother is a starving musician in Murphesburrow. So if you happen to go there at some point be sure to kick a couple extra $$$ to any half starved looking musician sittin on the side of the road. I am sure he will thank ya for it
