Post by Perceval »

Hi everyone!

I finally ordered an MKVII from Endicott the other day!
Kevin said I should have it in about a week. This will be my first MKVII... I can't wait!
I will post some pics when it arrives.

Best,
~Perceval

Excellent - the MKVII's are great, functional pieces of kit, I'm sure you'll love it. :)

The MKVII is one of my favorite pieces of gear. I have 3 of them now. As well as three MKVI bags. I carry all sorts of stuff in it, wherever I go! It's amazing what you can cram into those bags.

have a lot of fun with it Perceval. I've been an owner of one from MBA since 2001. I still use it this day and still enjoy it every time.

Where did you purchase all of your Mark VIIs? I have about the same number but find they are hard and harder to find. Actually one of the bags I have looks like it is in great shape but I guess the canvas has gotten weak and rips very easily. too bad actually.

I love my MKVII...it's definately a great "man purse" to haul around the @#$% I used day to day. For the strap on mine I used a "belt blank" from a leather shop and put some buckles on it...it looks alright.

MKVII Bag

Post by GeordieIndy »

Hi,

Just wanted to say I got my MKVII Bag from Kev at Endicotts today and am very happy with it! Especially after I have just recently purchased two other MKVII Bags from other sources that were not very good!

Endicotts was also the cheapest for the bag as well - bonus!

So CHEERS Kev!

Well, actually 2 of them are real, one is a repro. Both of the real ones I have gotten off ebay cheap. One is unissued and I scored it for $30 as it was listed as something else and had a buy it now. The other one I just got lucky on and scored it for around $20. The repro is one of the first run WPG bags.

I'd just keep an eye on ebay. Eventually one will pop up that you will snag for cheaps.

And Perceval, I'm going to reccomend the Lee Keppler strap. Nice and supple leather and a really SA buckle. I've had mine for 3 or 4 years now and it is holding up great. Heck, that strap with the bag has traveled around the world with me. And Lee even has new versions of his straps out now that look even MORE screen accurate! :D

Hey GeordieIndy

Sorry to veer off topic (I'm a mod, I should delete my own post! )

Are you another Newcastle based gearhead?

Finally some pics! What do you think?
I definitely recommend an Endicott bag
to anyone looking for a great bag and great, friendly customer service!
The bag is an H&S MKVII.
It's in really great condition! I am very happy with it! :D

Hi Robby,
Thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Yes, it is dark green. It think the color is very screen accurate.
The true color is more like the first 2 pictures. The flash made the last 2 too bright, and made the color look lighter.

Hey Perceval,

Nice Bag!!!

Just thought I would drop a note about colour choices. When I was speaking to Kev at Endicotts I asked if I could choose what shade of colour bag I wanted and he said "no problem", he was really helpful and said he could pretty much pick out what colour bag I wanted in reason!!!

I asked for a medium shade of green and that's exactly what I got. Mine has M.B. LTD stamped on it, I haven't come across this stamp mark before, does anyone know anything about it??

Cheers,

Would H&S be the same as H. & Sons? Or a different manufacturer all together?

I'm not sure. I have seen both H&S and H. & Sons, so it might be a different manufacturer.

Hi Robby,
No, mine is a used/great (or good. Can't remember what Kev called it) condition. I'm very happy with the condition it's in. I wasn't expecting it to be that good.

Awesome, because that is the condition I am ordering mine in as well! I thought it was mint- so that tells you just how good of condition it is in!!!

Wow, for a used condition bag, that thing is comparable to my unissued condition bags! :applaud:

I love the bag... I recently ordered one and am anxiously awaiting it, also. Mine I ordered specifically because it looked worn (no holes, just light in color) and used. I want to look like my equipment has been on many adventures with me.

Again. Great bag!
