Sounds good. Except for the postal strike. :) I don't post pics of my gear often, but I'll certainly have the card in any future pics that I post.

What about being more accurate with white balance setting?

I'll volunteer- does it matter if my hat isn't very screen accurate?

Here it is: http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z224 ... yshat1.jpg

One thing to keep in mind: dye lots. I'm sure my early production AB is a slightly different color than the current run, simply because the bodies come from different lots. In that case, it might throw off the experiment a bit.

I'm in, I'll send you mine. It sounds like a great idea especially since my new hat has already been viewed as being grey.

On this subject, has the color of Indy's fedora when he boards the flight to Nepal been discussed since the dvd release? It really doesn't look grey anymore. I saw "Raiders" in the theater recently, the hat was definitely brown in that showing.

Just wondering if this was brought up and I missed it.

Sorry. I didn't come around here for a while. Your answer reminds me why. Thanks for clearing it up anyway.

DeWayne;

This debate was ever ongoing, and still is despite the fact of Speilberg himself saying it was actually gray/grey. It has been brought up so many times in countless threads and just by someone naming the word color/colour it was a matter of seconds before it was bound to be brought up again and again.

Notice the ";)" after Binks post. No harm intended, I'm sure.

Just scan through the recent threads and you'll find the last time it was brought up soon enough.
(Or VP will provide you with a link.) 8)

Regards,
Swindiana

No, I'm not upset with you, DeWayne, but Swindiana stated it perfectly. It's kind of like in Young Frankenstein, anytime "Frau Blucher" is said, the thunder crashes and horses neigh.

Now this is a REALLY good idea. I want to volunteer too, but I'll have to pm my info once I get down to ordering my new Fedora, which I've been putting off :?.

Here's a few shots of my Fed Reg. You can really see a difference in the color of it with the card changing along with it. And this is just by me moving around a few inches.

Erin, how did you get those tight creases and pinch in the front? Did you use water or anything?
Fatwoul did get enough volunteers on this? Either I had'nt joined yet or I completely missed this.

After I placed the crease, I squeezed tightly all the way through to the ribbon. I wet the tips of my fingers to soak the area and re-set the starch. Once I did that I got a few potato chip bag mini-clips to hold it in place (necessity is the mother of invention- not Frank Zappa’s band).

After about 10 minutes, I took the clips off to smooth out the felt (The clips can put a crease where they lay). I then repeated the clip application process over the next hour to keep its form until I dug the results; constantly taking them off to smooth out the felt.

Shalom,
Erin Jones
