Delivery Times...

Post by fatwoul »

Hey guys,

So my fed dlx was shipped from HatsDirect on Monday, and I am trying to convince myself it will be here really soon. Whether you wish to help with this hope, or shatter it, all you need do is this:

Simply post the number of days it took for your hat to reach you from HatsDirect.

I hope this sort of thread isn't a faux pas. I've posted the same survey over at Fedora Lounge, so if I've screwed up let me know so I can delete that one too.

Thanks everyone.

(If this thread breaks some rule about mentioning or commenting on vendors please feel free to just delete it. No harm was intended.)

fatwoul, you're fine. Don't sweat it.

I think I got my Akubra in about a week's time. I was surprised how quickly it arrived.

I've ordered several hats from them. The longest took about 2 weeks from the day I placed the order. You won't be waiting long.

Cheers Chewie.

So at the moment it's looking like about 11 days on average. That's another week from now.

OK has the week gone yet?

Unless you live in some odd part of the world, Fatwoul.
I think Mich started talking about the reordering because I was told about it myself last week by Ron et al over at HatsDirect. Yes, they did have a re-order, but my hat (if not all the others) arrived at their store last Friday. They put my 58 on the block as soon as they got it, and shipped it out to me first thing Monday.

Six days is more like it. That really helps my impatience.

As for where I live, I'm in the UK, but I'm in a backwater part of the country. It wouldn't surprise me if the hat arrived in the UK a day or two ago, and that the majority of the journey time is spent getting the last couple of hundred miles from Heathrow to my house!

No A_C, You've jinxed it! If it gets lost in a sorting depot now, I will blame you! :D

My Federations both took 5 days to get to Austria. I think I may have paid for express postage though, I can't remember for sure.
