Let me introduce myself... And my new jewel
Hello guys,
I am a 33 yo french guy, I've been an Indyfan since I first saw the Raiders.
I had a lot of poster when I was younger, tried to make my own grail or shivalingam stone with earth from my parent's garden.
I realise now that most of my clothes may look like Indy's: kaki, white shirt and brown leather jacket... even though they are far from copies of the originals.
Ok, I've make a first real step some weeks ago: I brought my first real fedora on ebay: It was not sell as "indy's" but sell as a vintage fedora.
It might not be an exact replica, but a very close match.
This is a Resistol self conforming (7 3 / 8), made of what I think to be beaver felt.
The sweetband is a cracked and need to be fixed.... this hat smells realy good!
I am very glad, I got this little vintage jewel for only 51€.
The white label says "reward in case of loss" with my phone number and email adress.
I'm waiting for winter to be able to wear it, here it is:
Isn't it lovely???

Samuel, I'm think it might be, as I think it was Levy's that I called MANY years ago about the availability of Alden 405's in the Nashville area.
If they're still there, I honestly don't know. I'll have to nose around and see.
Regards! Michaelson

Since we're a family-friendly forum, we try our best to make sure to curb language which may be offensive to others. If a kid's mom happened to look here, she could rest assured that her kid isn't reading anything foul or harmful. That's the hope, anyway. Besides, there are nicer and more creative ways to express oneself other than trying to find ways around the word filter. (Yes, that's a hint to some of you.)

NIce lid!!!
You have a very nice vintage fedora there. With you relatively long face you can wear a wider brim, maybe all the way to a 3 inch'er.
I would start saving my euros and buy either an Adventurebilt or a Deluxe Adventurebilt. You will love these hats!!!

Welcome Nicolas! That's a nice looking Resistol you have there. Good Catch. I have several Resistols myself and they are rather comfortable. I still have my cowboy Resistol from my rodeo days and am having Art Fawsett do a reshape on it currently.
It appears the sweat band has seen better days.
You may want to contact Marc over at the Adventurebilt Hats Germany. He might be able to replace it for you. But that is entirely up to you. Nonetheless, a very nice looking lid.
Again, welcome and enjoy the forum!
Cheers!
Dan
