I got my first Wested a almost 4 years ago and couldn't be happier with it. But it's time to get another in my opinion. My first one was A Raiders with authentic Lambskin.
Now I'm thinking about getting a Last Crusade Jacket and I'm leaning towards Dark Brown Lambskin. What do you guys think? What kind of Leather was used in the Last Crusade? I lookforward to hearing all of you guys' opinions. Thanks
Andrew
Time to get another Wested

I don't believe Peter offers goat anymore, but if he does, go with it. It is a little heavier than lamb, but much more durable than lamb. It is nearly as soft as lamb too.
I've had a goatskin Raiders for 2 years now and it has held up wonderfully. And I don't particularly baby my jackets either.
Hide choice also depends on your use of the jacket. Will you be doing a lot of hiking in it? Outdoor work? Or is it just for casual wear?
(I tan animal hides myself, so I tend to be a little obsessive over the application of leather types. Personally, I'd like to have an Indy Jacket made out of brain tan! Talk about a great jacket! )

It really depends on a number of factors... Namely what YOU want!
For example, one of the most important questions is if you want a jacket to be as screen-accurate as possible, or if you don't mind sacrificing accuracy for practicality.
I mean, if you're really going to abuse the #### out of the jacket, you should go for the toughest leather available! Horsehide! But if you're like the rest of us, and just need something for casual wear, then go for authentic lamb, which is the closest to the movies anyway. And if you're with the group that needs a casual jacket but want to believe they will be falling off a cliff or something with it, then go for goatskin, since that offers a bit of both worlds.
And don't forget, there's always the choice of Wested's new worn-look lamb jacket, which just screams Indy from the get go. If you want your jacket to be recognized for what it is- an Indiana Jones replica, then by all means go for the worn-look jacket. And since it IS the cheapest of all the leathers, that jacket would also do good if you're going to abuse it, since even if it breaks, you won't feel as guilty!
