eBay "superior" whip

Post by brady »

I was looking around and saw this auction on eBay for a Texas made bullwhip. I just thought it was funny how they made the statements about Aussie splicing and dead kangaroos. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't an Australian bullwhip made from roo hides by a skilled plaiter far superior than this whip?

Check the auction out here:

Just found one of the ones you may have been talking about:

I don't know about you but the DM looks a ton better than the whips being sold on eBay.

Here's another:

Isn't it slanderous to be making accusations about the DM whips like that?

Extremely.

He was rather rude in his correspondence with members here, as well.

Actually, EXTREMELY rude is more like it.

Brady, I tend to be rather smooth and polished in my correspondence, and I was so with this chap. Unfortunately, Ryusui is correct. This person was quite rude, to put it mildly.

Brady, Brady, Brady....

We talk about this guy all the time. It seems every 3 months this subject comes up:

Avoid him, (Texasbullwhips.com) ! You are getting a good deal from Bernie. Ebay, is a poor choice for buying whip unless the seller is able to quote who made the whip and stands behind it.

OH YEAH!!! The "Tested on the strength of REAL LIVE KILLER BULLS" guy... What does that mean, anyways??? He has been very rude to a lot of us who tried to contact him with honest questions. The "CRACK TESTED by a WHIP EXPERT" comment makes me wonder how he is testing his crack. By smoking it, perhaps? He even advocates swinging from it. I don't see how anyone could make it through all of that text without either getting eye strain or falling asleep. There is no way that this whip would even come close to a DM or any other of the fine makers that we have to choose from!

Sorry for the sarcasm, and hopefully I offended no one on this forum.

Sorry I hadn't realized I struck a hot and sore :D topic! I wasn't planning on buying a whip from him, I just thought it was funny what his listings said. Plus I am getting a great deal from Bernie and can't wait to get it from him and the snow to melt so I can get cracking. I'll try to read about on something on previous postings before making it a topic of my own in the future.

Why get that when you can get a good quality or more accurate whip from ECWhips!

I am not really bosting about my new whip, I did that on my post about my whip. I am however saying that Jim's work is just out of this world, what you get is worth way more than what you pay. Just saying that I really think Jim's work is top notch and worth the wait.
