That being said, if a ToD/LC hat is what you're going for, you'll get results from a Fed/Fed Deluxe that are nothing short of perfect!
I've got a costume party in three weeks and I'm going as the 'end of Tod' Indy. I wish like crazy I still had a Fed for just this reason!
As it stands, I'll be wearing the PB instead.

It's easy, mate!
All you need really is to do is whack on the ol' DVD player and pause LC in scenes where you find the hat the most appealing. Then make some of your own indentations in the crown until you're happy with the result. You shouldn't require any steam or water for a LC bash, as it's fairly easy on the felt.
Remember, it's all a fun learning curve so have at it and enjoy!

IndyFan, bashing a hat really isn't as hard as it sounds. The Akubra is a great hat and easy to bash. You're not going to hurt the hat, trust me. If I can do it, anyone can do it. There were a couple bashing tutorials floating about at one point, and even though they were for the Raiders bash, all you'd mainly have to do for a LC bash is to relax the front pinch.

IndyFan, here are a couple threads worth checking out, though not all the picture links work anymore. Still, this should give you a good idea of the basics of bashing a hat:

JohnNdy had a good tutorial, but apparently the posted links no longer work for his site.

And, do not forget the Pagey/Aeris Canon tutorial. IMHO, one of the best on shaping techinque. You can find it using Google."binkmeisterRick wrote:IndyFan, here are a couple threads worth checking out, though not all the picture links work anymore.
