Don't really wanna start a new thread when my question pertains to this thread:

How exactly does removing the batting affect the jacket?

With the batting in, the jacket has a fullness or "puffiness" that makes it look and feel like a cold weather or winter jacket. Removing the batting allows the jacket to drape or hang in a wrinkled fashon that is more Indy-like.

The jacket just doesn't drape as well with the batting in... It is also much HOTTER!

Thanks much.

I suppose that means my current jacket doesn't have any batting. It feels very "warm weather-y".

Well, I'm glad I tried your suggestion on just one of them. I think it loses a bit of its "Indyness."

Hmm, the jacket just looks so generic without those pockets... I guess you gotta love pockets (oversized or not) after all!

It would look somewhat generic.

I'm not sure if my lambskin has it. I've tried feeling the inside lining against the leather to see if I could feel the extra material, but I can't tell without cutting an opening in the lining.
So I guess I'm leaving it alone for now.
However, if anyone has the guts to do it to theirs, please document it and post some pics :)

Thanks
