With the batting in, the jacket has a fullness or "puffiness" that makes it look and feel like a cold weather or winter jacket. Removing the batting allows the jacket to drape or hang in a wrinkled fashon that is more Indy-like.
The jacket just doesn't drape as well with the batting in... It is also much HOTTER!

Hmm, the jacket just looks so generic without those pockets... I guess you gotta love pockets (oversized or not) after all!Arca Perdida wrote:Well, I'm glad I tried your suggestion on just one of them. I think it loses a bit of its "Indyness."binkmeisterRick wrote:And the pockets. Don't forget to remove the pockets, too... and the collar...

I'm not sure if my lambskin has it. I've tried feeling the inside lining against the leather to see if I could feel the extra material, but I can't tell without cutting an opening in the lining.
So I guess I'm leaving it alone for now.
However, if anyone has the guts to do it to theirs, please document it and post some pics
Thanks
