Well, for those of us who haven't followed any OTHER discussions on your jacket....what IS it in the first place? Wested?

If Wested, be cautious with that soaking and complete drying, especially if it's lambskin. I have one that got completely soaked recently, and several areas had coloring 'sluff' off the surface where the dyeing process apparently didn't 'stick' to the hide. It left lighter colored areas on the jacket that look surprisingly like the pre-distressed leather underneath.

A good application of brown Pecards blended those areas in perfectly with the darker areas, so it's 'fixable', but don't freak out if you suddenly find pieces of surface falling off your jacket.

Regards! Michaelson

My lamb Wested was soaked with no ill effects. The question is will I dare to soak my Todd jacket when it arrives....?

Hey, Sparrow. That new Wested of yours looks a lot darker than the earlier photos of Peter's new SA Raiders offering. How would you compare the colour to Wested's authentic brown lambskin? Many thanks.

That's not the SA jacket that Wested is offering. It's a custom jacket with SA features.

And I guess that sparrow's jacket is Auth lamb, but pls correct me if I am wrong.

The lower price point jacket Peter is offering is called the"ROTLA Authentic" and is available in 2 shades of predistressed lambskin. It is off the rack with no mods allowed.

Jack that jacket looks really good. Getting it wet seems to put a good "few years" on a Wested.

The first we saw is a sort of golden rusty colour characterised by the one Moregist got. The second I believe Michaelson go one of. It is darker has a sandy sort of texture and is very soft. What's the colour like, it's sort of a greyer version of the authentic brown similar to the colour that the last batch of goatskins came in.

I can't get one of these because they are too long for my height (or lack of) Peter added an inch or two to the standard cut to account for the people who were all ordering TOD jackets as they thought the raiders jackets were too short.

Anyway he has them in the shop and you will see them in a month or so when you come over. ;).

The darker leather looks alot like this:
