Hey you know what they say around here, the wait is worth it no matter how long it takes Fedora to make and send them out. I know I read in another post that he's mixing them in w/reblocks and other newer hats for us gear heads. So ArtooMetoo be patience as will I and when it does come I'll be sure to post pics.

Hang in there guys. With the new movie on the horizon, I am sure that Fedora is busier than a one armed paper hanger.
While this may not be the best time to get an AB as far as turn around time goes, rest assured, once you get it, the wait will have been worth it. I know, this is like telling a kid that he has to wait until Christmas to open a present.
We all have to remember that Fedora is a one man operation (unless you want a Deluxe, and then Marc is a one man operation, too). He works a full day almost every day, and gets these hats made as fast as he can, and still maintain the quality that we all desire.
The bad news is, that from now untill the new movie, I think wait times for an AB are going to increase. I just hope that after the movie opens, that demand doesn't become so great that Fedora decides he can no longer keep pace.
So, my advice is to keep your panty hose on, and rest assured that Fedora is cranking out all of your fedoras as fast as his little hands can, and I wouldn't worry about pestering him for an update. The more time he spends on this computer answering questions, the less time he has to spend out in the shop.
Go Fedora, GO! WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Another month has gone by since anyone has chimed in on this topic. Any news from anyone?
What happened to the effort to count those who have/have not received their hats?
Are we still at 5 who got them and 8 who have not?
The last person who replied saying they got their hat did so two months ago. Why such a discrepancy in delivery times?
Trying to hang on to my patience here, guys. But it's been a looooong wait!

My first post!!!! YEAH!!!!! I'm waiting for my Beaver AB's (one from Steve and one from Marc). I couldn't decide on which one to get, so I decided to order both (now I'm in the poor house again). When I get em (which probably won't be till this fall), I'll be sure to post pics of mine. I've wanted an Indy hat since I was a little kid, so I guess I can wait a few more months

Maybe his turnaround time has improved lately.
I thought it was gonna take about three months to recieve my fed, but obvioulsy not.
I'm sure as h#ll it'll be worth the wait.

I have an email from 10/29/06 confirming receipt of my payment. A quick count puts me at about 32 weeks.
At the time of ordering, the hats were expected to be delivered in "around 4 months (perhaps sooner)."
That would have put delivery at about the end of February. It's now three months past that time.

indy89,
I asked a while ago. March 28th he said they'd be done "very soon." I asked again April 27th, no response.
It's not the wait that is making me impatient, it's the lack of status updates. If I were three months late in delivering a product, I would likely send out updates via email letting people know what to expect from me.

Yeah, I'm sure Steves work is important to Him, but he is human.
#### happens, maybe something came up and there was delay on orders.
We all like to get away from work and Steve deserves anytime to get away from work.
But, I understand that there is a lack of communication from Him.
It has been awhile since April 27th, so give it an other shot.

Be patient, folks. It'll be worth the wait, I promise. I just ordered another hat from Steve, but I'm not even going to ask when I should have it. My only hope is that it arrives by the time Indy IV is released. He has a TON of hats in line and refuses to rush any one of them. And since he is, indeed, a one man operation, it's gonna take time.
The "problem" is that the quality of his hats speak for themselves. If his hats weren't so very top notch, then there wouldn't be such a demand for them and the wait wouldn't be what it is. So it's all your fault, guys. I know the wait can be painful (I know this several times over!) but the best advice I can give is to let it slip your mind and then be fantasticaly surprised when it shows up on your doorstep. Be strong!

Man........a bunch of you are in the 30's week range, AND I"M COMPLAINING : :!: I agree with all of you, I don't want my hat "rushed". If it takes him 8 MONTHS like it's taking for all of your hats, then it takes 8 months. As long as I get this incredible fedora that all of you convinced me in your posts to get, a hat that will last me the rest of my life, I won't complain........too much But then again, I have Marc working on a hat as well, and perhaps his turn over time will be quicker. What is Marc's turnover time for you guys? I guess as long as I get one of them before Indy IV..................

Those months go by alot faster if you order some other gear...maybe a magnoli shirt, a whip, a wested or Todd's or Wings or GB jacket, a bag, a holster, a gun belt...well you get the point.
I wish I had the money sitting around to order an AB in beaver, but alas I've got to pinch pennies for a while.

That is an average price for a pure beaver fedora. I figure the guys here that wanted an AB have had over 3 years to get one. And, I would not being doing this unless it was essential. Otherwise, my lead times would be not in months, but years. I have given you guys plenty of time to hop on the bargain. I feel badly about it, but at least everyone had a chance at the old price. I figure you put those hats up in a box, sit on them for a year, and you could get more than you paid for them, at the old 225 or 250 price. Right now, I look at every hat I make at the old price as a great investment. You will always get more than you paid for it, trust me. Fedora

I don't normally do that (as a matter of fact, I RARELY do this), but with this information presented, and for those interested but who rarely check our classified...

Well I've recieved my new AB Rabbit from Steve and all I can say is I wish I bought one before this. So soft and pliable. I had Steve do the truck scene where indy is hanging off the front, you know the scene.
Steve totaly nailed the front pinch and the blockiness (is that even a word?) Hard to see but he even got the crease in the front to the left of the front pinch (to the left as your looking at the pic) It's kinda hard to see, but even Steve liked the way this one turned out.
Well with out further ado, here are the pics.
