Ok, first new piece of gear paid for! I'm on the list for an AB from Fedora! There is no other real reason for this thread other than I'm excited and wanted to share. Haha. :D

For anyone who cares, I'm getting it bashed to resemble the Raiders "Idol Grab" scene. That whole beginning scene kind of tells me just who Indy is, so that's what I wanted.

Sorry for the noob question but who is "Fedora" and why is he selling AB's?

*Edit*
Ok, I see that he's a vendor. Does he have a website? ... or will the answer be something embarrassingly simple? Sorry I'm new to this group (been busy in the jacket section the last few months)

fedora is steve delk....the man behind the adventurebilt hats (AB). he sells them as he and his european counterpart marc kitter (marc on the forum...who makes the AB deluxe) are the only ones in the known world who have recreated the lost raiders hat block.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions G...it WAS something embarrassingly simple. I've actually corresponded with Steve. Didn't know his alter-ego.

Fedora is a mythical being from the long lost land of Hatopia. Hatopians believed this being to be a god due to his awesome abilities of producing incredible headwear which the Hatopians displayed proudly on their heads, not just during their mysterious ceremonies, but in daily life, as well. Stories of Fedora began to spread among different cultures and faraway lands until he became the subject of many stories, songs, and legends. Even though headwear has evolved and even declined in many modern civilizations, there are still devout followers who harken back to Hatopian days and beliefs. Because of this, the Great Fedora lives on today in the form of what we now call The AdventureBilt, or AB.
