Twinjackets from Wested?

Post by orb »

I have a question about Wested. I wanted a new LC cowhide jacket from wested and now I've finally got the quotation from them and I just have to pay. OK now I thought about getting a second LC jacket in auth. lambskin too. But I would want two twin jackets! They should be exactly the same! Same Collar size, pockets size, pocketflaps same etc.
Does anyone know if this is possible? or is every jacket a bit different?

Much regards

Way back when, I ordered two Raiders jackets at the same time. Same specs, etc. They're noticeably different. This was a long time ago. Though if they're still something that's handmade, and by different people.... Well I doubt they'd be exactly the same.

DeWayne is right. It's hand made. No identical twins will ever come from that. Hopefully, though, they will be close. If you want 2 identical jackets, you'll have to look for factory made.

Even factory-made will differ. A leathern jacket is made from the hide of an animal or several animals, after all, and there will always be discernable differences. Hopefully, though, these will be limited to the skins and not to the structure. As one who has sewn leather and other materials, the differences from piece to piece that accrue in a hand-made product is part of the appeal of hand-made.

Same with me. Ordered a size 40 and later a 42 off-the-rack, ok that's not at all "same spec" but the sleeve and back length difference was at least 2". According to their website it's half an inch. Sold the 40 to a friend and kept the 42 since it fit perfect.
