I just registered here on Club Obi Wan so I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. I am very interested in getting started learning how to use a whip. Right now I am waiting on my Em Brand "Indy Style" whip being made in Australia by Bernie Wojcicki. I look forward to discussing various things about whip cracking and other Indiana Jones topics.

Welcome aboard Brady. I have a Bernie bullwhip as well. I bought it quite awhile ago, before he started making them more accurate to the Indy-Morgan style.
As Kyle, (The Edge) mentioned, you should start reading some of the topics already covered in the bullwhip section of this forum. Another handy place for information is the www.indygear.com site:
- specifically the whip section which contains history, other whip vendors, links to other sites, a tutorial that is still in the works ( I am delinquent),
- also there is the whip faq
Also with your Bernie whip, he now includes a CD-ROM that has your basic instructions on how to care for your whip and the basics on cracking your whip.
Good luck and post pictures of your whip when it comes in. We all enjoy looking at pictures.

Welcome Brady. Not to repeat what everyone else has said, but anything you need to know or learn is here, either in text somewhere, or quickly (most times) answered. Hope you enjoy it here.
Kyle, I addressed the name change in another thread. Sure you're entitled to a cool internet name. It's kinda "dangerous" soundin'.

I like your style, Brady. You want to use the whip, not just hang it on your belt to look at. Let us know what you think of it when you get it.
Be a little careful at first, especailly around your face.
You will find cracking a good workout.
Mastery of the whip gives a still that gives satisfaction that you have aquired a skill the majority of the population have no idea about.
Thanks
