Hi,
I am considering A2 jackets lately.
I am interested in a tight fit and particularly, tight sleeves.
Can any of you out there who owns any of the above mentioned jackets in 38 or 40 size help me by providing the following measurements
1. diameter of sleeve at armpit
2. diameter of sleeve at elbow
3. diameter of sleeve at wrist (above the knit)
Thanks and regards.

Not satisfied with the fit of your G&B A-2 PLATON?
I recently sent both my modified (Leather collar & epaulets) M422-A and historic mahogany A-2 back to G&B to have the sleeves reduced 1". I did not like the wrist knits vanishing when my arms were down. The sleeves are much better now...
I really like the sleeve taper of the M422-A sleeves. The wrist diameter at the knit is 12" on the M422-A and 13" on the A-2. I tried to get G&B to taper the A-2 sleeves to M422-A specs, but no dice... At least they did reduce the sleeve length.
I really have the A-2 broken-in nicely now, with mucho grain coming-up. Anyway, regarding fit....The actual wartime A-2 fit was all over the place. Most of the pics I have seen show few tight fitting jackets.... Personally, I like the overall G&B A-2 "modern day cut". Going one size down makes for a pretty authentic looking jacket IMO....

I got my G&B in 38 instead of 40 that I usually wear for reasons statedNot satisfied with the fit of your G&B A-2 PLATON?
above.
The body fits fine but the sleeves are not narrow and not long enough. I can cope with the length factor, but I hate the fuller sleeve.
I am considering other makers now so I am trying to figure out how narrow an original repro wwii sleeve would be.
The wrist diameter at the knit can never be 12'. You are probably confusing the diameter with something else.
I don't blame you because "diameter" is a greek word.
In the excellent photos that you posted I like the sleeves on the jackets of the guy in the middle in the 1st and 2nd photo. (the guy who sits in the 1st photo).
I suppose that a narrow sleeve requires small arm hole, but I am only guessing. There are not even good photos to help my investigation.
