Gloves - with Pictures!
Well I ordered a pair from Todd's, and after a little tweaking I'm quite happy with them. And just to add a little flair, I did a touch of embellishment after seeing the pictures from the Profiles in History auction

Oops! My bad. Those are my new Wells Lamont clones - I just got around to putting them on my website yesterday. It looks like a pair of them went out instead of the WLs by mistake. So hard to get good help these days...
I'm going to offer both brands of gloves - the WL and mine. Both are on the website now.
Carolina, if you'd like a pair of the original WLs, just let me know and I'll send you a pair - you keep the ones you've got. Otherwise, I'll send you a refund for the difference. The new gloves sell for $9.95.
Sorry again - we might be out of the WL large and those were grabbed instead.

Gee, why didn;t I think of this. How about, the best way to distress a pair of wrok gloves is to WORK in them. DOH! I used the gloves shown above (the distressed ones) for today's all-day garden, brush clearing and burning, and thet are definitely getting that niice really used look. There relly is no sbstitue for the real thing when it comes to wear. We have a dirt driveway. If I get my Alden and Wested, maybe I'll put them on and have the wife dag me up and down a few times.

Amen. I picked up like six pair of the ones w/o the keystone thumb so they are very close to the right ones, and I've just worked them to death. I keep having to remember to throw them aside BEFORE I go through the fingers, though. When I get one that looks perfect, I just go back to wearing the others till they wear out. Waste nothing.dwardeden wrote:Gee, why didn;t I think of this. How about, the best way to distress a pair of wrok gloves is to WORK in them. DOH!
