Wested after 1.5 years

Post by Dre »

Just thought i'd post some pics of me wearing my wested goat TOD after having it for 1.5 years. The pictures aren't exactly sharp but they were taken with my phone. I quite like the 'trendier' indy look of the jacket + hoodie combo.

Yeah he should be ashamed of himself. It doesn’t even look like an Indy jacket.

What they are saying is that it is a beautiful jacket and that it doesn't have that "Indy's been thru 10 adventures" look.. .Great coat... Do you use Pecards or anything to seal and protect your leather?

....actualy I was just making fun. I think it is sad when a member posts his or her jacket and it gets picked apart because it isnt "screen accurate". The only way it would ever be "screen accurate" is if you stole it from Ford on the day of shooting. Even then it would be picked apart........wait, its a loosing battle, I get it now :-k . I think your jacket looks great ! Just like the one in those Indy movies.
Whats realy sad is that even if you get every detail from every screen shot someone on the street will still call you Fonzie. You will be the only one who really knows how exact it is.

Well, the IJ jacket is great. Dre's jacket is great cause it's a IJ jacket. Screen accurate or not doesn't make a difference. It's still IJ jacket and great. Screen accurate refers to little details that only the trained eye could see. The matter of pocket scallopness is not taken as against screen sccuracy. Who cares. It's either you like them scalloped or not. I don't really care Ford's pockets were, even if they were not scalloped I would still like mine to be scalloped.

Now the question is, the jacket I am getting next week will have them scalloped or not?

Never really took notice of the scallop. Do wested make them more scalloped now? I do think wested have made a much bigger effort to make the jackets more screen accurate of late, but my wested is still my most prized possession 8)

I haven't used any pecards yet, and always try to keep it out of the rain (and away from sharp objects!). I've bought some pecards dressing but haven't applied it yet, but seeing as winter is coming up (in australia) i'll do it soon.
