And thank you and the rest of the members for being so patient!! If the hat was not so popular, the lead times would be so much better. I am glad it made it on time. I sent it global express, and had my fingers crossed. What they tell you at the post office about delivery times is always supect when sending overseas. I am surprised it made it that fast!! FedoraMy AB just arrived today- a whole day early! Thank you so much, Steve, for getting it here in time for my trip!

I was surprised, too! Chinese New Year in Taiwan was a few weeks ago, equivalent to the Christmas season in the states...the post office usually isn't very reliable. The hat fits great and is a beauty- straight from being pounced, it seems. I had to brush off some of the fuzz left on the crown
I've spent the last few hours working out the stiffness and defining the bash- it was very loose when I received. Breaking in a new hat is hard work! It brings back good memories of my first Federation.

AB Fedora
I've been reading the forum for a few months now, and just joined recently. I ordered my AB beaver on Dec. 26th,sort of a xmass present to myself! Anyway, I'll thank the COW forum for my choice. An accurate Raiders hat is what I wanted, but durability is even more important. I wrote Steve the other day to have my initials imprinted,(I had forgotten) and heard back the next day. That's quick response! He's obviously extremely busy, and still answers an e-mail promptly. Very efficient. No rush on the hat Steve, quality takes time. I am among the waiting group!!

Hey guys - update for Steve. (Hope he doesn't mind)
I was in talks with him recently about an urgent need I've got, and he let me know that he's starting up on the rabbits again this week - he had the flu and wasn't able to make anything for a little bit but he's back now.
Have a great day everybody!

Excellent news. Thanks for the update, G! I figured those AB Bunnies wouldn't be too far off now that I got my Beaver AB. I'm anxious to see how the felt quality and color compares! I'm already tempted to buy another Beaver AB...yes that's right, I waited almost 6 months for my AB Beaver, and I've actually owned it for only 4 days, but I'm already thinking about buying another one. I think I'm addicted to hats...honestly, there should be a patch for this kinda thing...Indiana G wrote:folks,

28 weeks in...
I'm 28 weeks in, but I know that it will "get here when it gets here." At this point I'm looking forward to it as my new hat for the fall.

I ordered my Beaver AB from Steve on October 2nd, 2006 and received it on March 24th, 2007. So if I were you, I would estimate about a 6 month wait for one of Steve's hats.
For Marc, I think the wait is more around 3 months or so. I've got a couple hats ordered with Marc and I'll update this post when they arrive to let everyone know what the turnaround was like.

Did you get a tracking number or something? How do you know it's being delivered today?
I'm just trying to figure out when I should start expecting mine in the mail. I was toward the end of the group that got in on the deal.
I'm just "chomping at the bit" to get my hands on the hat.

congrats on getting yout hat man. my wife mentioned to me that fed ex had had a couple of mishaps somewhere in the nashville viewing area but i didn't think it would affect our hats. hope i've not missed something since i've been out of town. i just skipped to the end of the thread to see what the wait time is and it seems i'm right on the twenty-something week mark. regards hanson.

Chill...
I ordered September 16, and I'm still waiting. Fear not- likely it is too hot to wear it where you live by now anyway. Any amount of time you get it before the fall will be even more painful, because it will mean you can look but not wear (in Las Vegas, with the temps in the 110's over the summer, there is no chance I will even attempt to wear felt).

You think 110 degrees stopped Indy from wearing his favorite hat?rcinlv wrote:I ordered September 16, and I'm still waiting. Fear not- likely it is too hot to wear it where you live by now anyway. You can do it....been there, done that....but take the liner out first. You'll die if you don't!
But seriously, I totally agree with 89. I wear my beaver felt fedoras year round, and I live in HOT, South Central HUMID Tennessee, and have done so for decades....honestly ! Sill have all my hair too!
Regards! Michaelson
