Not "Near Enough" but "It'll do for now!"

Post by emaresea »

As a recent newbie I have been looking for a decent Fedora to wear with my new Wested LC jacket. I initially bought a crushable in a green colour (don't ask why green) but continued looking for a better brown.

Found one in one of the very few "Gentlemen's Outfitters" remaining in my area (west of London about 20 miles and arounfd to North of west London). It was shop soiled - not much distressing required there then and there is an actual tear in the leather hatband. As it was only GBP 20.00 (approx USD 40.00) I snapped it up and if I can get it to work photos are below:-

Think I've got photos displaying now - using Photobucket.

That's a pretty good starter, my friend! As for loading images, you're going about it the right way, but maybe your hosting site doesn't let you post pictures as such? That's the only thing I can think of. You can, however, post it as a url, which gets you click on a link.

You can try uploading to www.Allyoucanupload.com or www.imageshack.us both will give you a whole list of options as to posting the images.

Good find. Something you might want to try with your fedora is to start the pinch higher up and let the crease go further down in the back.
My Stetson looked similar in its shape and this was how I got it looking more to my satisfaction.

Your problem was that you didn't link to the pic itself but to a page which had the pic included in an <img> tag.
