What about that tie Indy sports around for the majority of LC?

I'm actually working on a material as a less expensive alternative to the Irish poplin used on the LC tie. I'm hoping to have a sample worked up in a couple of weeks.

Kind regards,
Indy

Just to let everyone know, I bought one of Magnoli's Washington ties. It's beautiful, and I love it. Great workmanship, great material. Another Magnoli winner.

Here is the prototype of my Last Crusade tie:

Here is a comparison shot of the weave of this tie (below) with a swatch of irish poplin on top:

The good news is that this tie will only be around $30 (shipped). Let me know what you think.

Indy

It is about 3 3/8" wide with straight-cut sides (not curved as with my vintage-style ties), the same, I believe, as the original LC tie.

Would be possible for you to get tie fabric in that special dark ribbon-colour brown?

I'm simply to influenced by 1930s ad to wear black and brown together!

That is funny as I was just thinking this very thing yesterday afternoon! Unfortunately, to make it worth it, I have to sell at least eight ties just to break even, so I'd have to see if their is interest here first before proceeding. So... anyone interested in a dark-brown version of the LC tie?

Maybe, but I'd much more like to buy the fabric, because I'm going to make some casual ties based on the shape of a broken 1930s tie I got on ebay.

Today I even found a sewing machine in our basement. :)

Well, my LC tie is a custom fabric I had specially designed for me. I could talk to my manufacturer and see if he'd be willing to do a "one off" for you. Drop me a PM and we can discuss the details.

The Venice Tie is now officially in the works. Hopefully they'll be ready in about a month.

The black LC tie is available here: Officer's Tie

 \:D/  OK, I know I'm alittle slow on the post but I've been out on "sick leave". I have been waiting for this since I bought the Venice suit waaaaay over a year ago. Now the question is - Suspenders, does it come with suspenders??? Still need to hold up the pants. Do I need to buy three ties and turn two into matching braces?? :? (Rick runs for cover as a ballistic missle heads towards NY from NZ)

I started wearing bowties and tweed jackets when I was IT manager for a police department - the captian I was under wanted me to look "professorial" so I would impress the grumpy old inside officers I had to train on their computer system. Since then, I tend to prefer bow ties, so am looking forward to those!
("Soup for lunch, professor?" was the invariable greeting I got when coming in to the station back then)

Unfortunately, I'm just about to head off on a one month vacation, so these won't be available until I return in the middle of September. I'll post again when I add them to my site. In the mean time... enjoy the pic! ;)

They are adjustable up to about 18", after that you'd need to modify it.

Just thought I'd bump this thread to remind people about these ties. I would like to start on the Marshall Tie, but was hoping to sell a few more of the other styles to help fund the project.

...just wanted to say that I got Indy Magnoli's Pankot bow tie a couple of weeks ago. It is great, and for those who like Indy's Pankot dinner outfit definitely a must-have 8) Believe it or not but that outfit, Tweed jacket, shirt with bow tie and twill pants has always been my favourite Indy style.

Is there anything new happening with regard to these ties? Also, I wonder, should the poll be re-opened so that Indy's ties from KotCS be added? It's one necktie and two bowties, by my count.

Here's the Crystal Skull train traveller tie:

Would go nicely with the Moonstone Akubra Federation I've got my eyes on...
