Wested Finally ordered

Post by Indiana Johnson »

I've been saying for months when I had the money I would order the Wested. Well, last night, the order was placed!!!!

I ordered the Raiders jacket, brown horsehide. I did put 80's fit and smaller pockets and collar in the special requests section. When I received my confirmation email from Gemma, my special requests were listed, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all works out OK.

I also ordered a pair of trousers and shirt. I have a pair of Platon's Paris trousers, and LOVE them. I wanted another pair of Calvary Twill wool Indy pants, and thought the darker color would be a nice contrast to Platon's lighter color pants (a little variety is the spice of life). I figured the Wested order was a once in a lifetime thing, so I would get everything, and save on shipping.

So now I am waiting for my jacket and my Adventurebilt. I'm 8 weeks into my Adventurebilt order, but at least I can wear that when I get it. By the time my jacket gets here, it will probably be too warm!!

I want all of you to know how much I appreciate all the information I've received from you since joining, it has made my gear collecting so much more enjoyable (I never would have known about most of the items available, certainly wouldn't have known to request 80's slim fit or smaller pockets on my jacket, and on and on).

Thanks for everything
-Ben

My order is already delayed but that's OK.
Problem is that it's already around 20 deg celcius around here.

Hmm, anyone know what the current production time of a Wested jacket is (from order page to front door)? I've placed my order on the 13th, and another on the 2nd of this month, and am dying to find out when either one should ship... especially since I'm hoping to get the one I ordered on the 13th before Spring Break ;)

You're gonna LOVE that HH!! I've been wearing mine every day since it arrived in Jan. I actually hate to see the warmer weather arrive as I will need to leave it in the closet until next fall.

You need to order a cloth Wested Raiders jacket to hold you over until it cools down again. I'm wearing mine, and it's probably worn more than any other jacket I own.

Tried that. Just to humid here for lambskin in the warmer months. :( Cotton, on the other hand....no problem.

Indy wore his jacket in the desert, so why can't you wear it in warm weather?

Oh geez, I'm guessing this must be peak season eh? ;)

Gah, should have ordered it on Xmas, heard most people got theirs in two weeks from store to door... but I was afraid it would take forever since it was the holiday season.

I ordered mine in summer '05, it was finished one week later and the delivery took another week. Got all specs I asked for.

I must admit, I would like mine sooner than later, but I'd rather wait 2 to 3 months and get all my specs right. I'm a 40R and ordered the 80's slim fit, so I hope the pocket size I requested will look good.

I used to have a jackewt with agent 5 specs. The pockets looked too rectangular.
