Hello guys I just received my package from todd today and I wonder because the gun belt is really stiff and after putting the belt on, the leather showed immediatley some stretch marks. Is that normal?
I thought only cheap leather will break in that fast?
However Indy gear should never look like new but inputs are welcome
Much regards
orb

don't worry orb, my todd's deluxe belt does that too. i may try some conditioner on it as jeep says it is quite dry.
you should see it on the budget gun belt. that one really stretches and deforms....quite poor leather but you get what you pay for.
i'll give her some treatment tonite and hopefully she'll wear alot better.

Just saw this...
Yes, the crinkling is due to the type of leather (tooling leather) - which is to say, dry. It is made like the movie belt. I am cautious about using pre-oiled leathers for fear of staining expensive Noel Howard Indy pants! It will break in pretty fast and the edges will wear, especially around the buckle. Just apply some leather conditioner like the others have suggested to give it a little flex and help it break in. Soon, it'll look like it's been in a few good bar fights, mine car chases, dogfights...
