Just emailed Jimmy about my first Indy hat

Post by Alathea »

Can't wait to hear from him. Indy Bash, and I let him know that I have a rounder face, if that makes a difference, with a dimensional cut. Giddy, or something like it, though I figured id go for Beaver, hoping the wait would be less than an AB at this point. So, im haven't see the price total yet *lol*

They look great!

It sounds to me Jimmy's gotten quite busy lately. I know there have been a lot of positive reviews of his hats around these parts so the wait time for the hats might have encreased some.

I've seen a lot of shots of his Raiders rabbit hat and but none of the his beaver felt. You'll have to post some pics when you do get it. :D

Hey Alathea,

You posted in another thread that you had a budget of around $150, right?
So, im haven't see the price total yet *lol*
Well, I hate to break it to you, but I think Jimmy's Beaver hats run about $300 or so.

As for the wait, I ordered my JPD in the latter half of December of last year, and got it on Feb. 14th, which is longer than I expected, but I imagine Jimmy's turnaround times have suffered due to the sudden spike in his sales. Even considering the nearly 2 month wait, it's still less time than it is taking for my AB's to arrive. And that's no slight against Steve, either, as I expected a mighty long wait for the AB's.

Anyways, I can't wait to see some pics!

AH, yes, correct you are! They used to be $300, but I forgot Jimmy restructured his pricing. That's a good deal, but still $100 over Alathea's original budget

So I thought that Id spring for the beaver. I was looking at Akubra Fed Deluxes before this, though if his wait is really over the top I may go that route.....We'll see what he says.
