Tag safari shirts

Post by coronado3 »

Have any of you tried these TAG safari shirts?

They are made in Africa of 100% cotton and are available in stone.

The Shooter Shirt looks pretty good, except for the recoil padding.

its probably a nice shirt but for the price in the 'close enough' indy range.....i don't think its close enough for me. now if you are specifically looking for a safari shirt, then heck thats a great find! :D

 ...I think my uncle wears one of those... (my uncle on the South African side of my family). They look nice in person, but aren't TOO close to the Indy shirt.

Plus, you can find shirts similar to that at Wal Mart for $9.99 that look great under an Indy jacket. The main things about the Indy shirt, to me, are the stone color, not khaki; no button-down collar; no epaulets; flap-button pockets with center pleats. As long as you don't take off the jacket, nobody could really tell whether the shirt is exact or not. Since finding a shirt with the full-length pleat/folds on the front is difficult/expensive, this is the feature I choose to make optional.

The Wal-Mart shirts ARE great, and we've seen them show up just about every Spring....but jump on them when you find them. Wal-Mart only gets in so many, and that's it for the season.

Once they're gone....they're gone, as folks here have discovered the hard way.

Regards! Michaelson
