Wested jacket sleeves

Post by davefelker »

My new Wested LC goatskin has cotton sleeves which at first I thought was no big deal but after putting it on day in and day out let me tell you they ****! If you have a long sleeve shirt on the cotton sleeve almost seems to stick to it as soon as you put your arm in the sleeve so the rest of the day you feel like your sleeves are pushed way up your arm. Is there anyway of having maybe a tailor change the sleeves to satin or something similar?

Any good tailor can change out sleeve linings for you. Most require you supply the material, but it's an easy changeout.

Peter used to offer this combination, cotton body and satin sleeves, but I'm not sure this is still an option. I haven't looked for a while.

They still offer that combination... I've just ordered my LC Lamb last week with that lining actually. :D

Interesting. I just placed my order with the all cotton lining. I can still change it if there are others who feel the same way. I just figured that the cotton lining would be more comfortable since it's a natural fiber.

It is more comfortable, in my opinion, but it's all in what you're willing to put up with. Short sleeves, no problem, but long sleeves, a bit difficult with all cotton. Doable, but difficult.

I've found satin sleeves to be great with long sleeves, but quite uncomfortable with short sleeves.

The old '6 of one, half a dozen of another' scenario.

In that case, I just apply my usual logic.....get one of each! ;)
