How many people buy beaver fur felts?

Darrell, I can think of 3 who actually make their hats here, those being Fedora, Marc, and JPDesign. If there are any others, they do it for their own use and on the QT.

A LOT of folks buy beaver felt hats, as compared to what we were all buying, say, 5 years ago, so I'd say probably 75 to 80% are now into beaver. That's totally a guess on my part, though.

I've made a few hats,
but I bought all of my supplies from
Steve Delk, and another hatter (who I never want to do business with again). If you plan on making just a few hats for yourself thats probably the best way to do it. I made a few, but I was never
really happy with the final result of the brim or the pounce, so I decided not
to continue making them, because I didn't have enough
time, and I'd rather just buy an akubra. I do have one black hat though,
that I wear that I made myself.
