1. The crappy hat?
2. The crappy jacket?
3. The crappy idol?
4. None of the above.

Here's an odd one. Der Furer himself.

I think in Platon's pic above Lucas is clearly staring at a man off camera who has a real-time digital readout of all the money he's making as it is being accrued.

Actually, I'd say that pick was taken the instant that he realized he'd found the gear for Indy IV!

He's probably thinking. Who the #### mashed the top of that hat and why are they using that head prop and not the gold idol? Either that or a way to market those skulls.

You don't make it readily apparent whether or not you're joking. The shot looks rather candid, so are you joking or are you serious?

I'm guessing in this shot he's thinking. "What's a guy dressed as Indiana Jones doing in my house taking pictures"

Image[/quote]

And in this shot he's probably thinking....."Second thought I think I'll pass on making Indy 4......I've got a great idea for Howard the Duck 2"

yes ! who is interested by that ?? each time i post something it seems nobody think it's interesting.... if only you know all...you never beleive me...and that is some time the case because i receive time to time email from members here who tell me "i'm wrong"," that's not true", it's "impossible" etc... etc.... no problem, now i keep that for me and just react to other posts

i made the french article about the 20 raiders anniversary, i saw a lot and lot of pics you never see, i was friend with pat roach, i know very well some ILM and Lucasfilm crew and some others people involved in the trilogy....etc...

i post some time some "real" infos but fans are so blind because they think to know the truth, so when an answer come to light, they dont want to beleive it and prefer to take an other way....OK that' s fine...

sorry it is an other debat...

at Tokyo disney sea there is a ride/area called "Indiana Jones and the temple of the crystal skull."
they have a decent roo 12 plait in the gift shop for 600$ and dozens of cheap mexican whips for 100$
There is a mexicn restaurant in that area which is why I go down there.
There aint much in the way of TEx-Mex here in Japan.
I ought to go down there in my outfit and see if Tigger wants to rumble.

I get that all the time.
Especially when I speak about strap configuration.

That, Platon, is because not one person here can call themselves and expert or come up with indisputable proof after all this time. You just have to get used to being told you're wrong or that we've already gone over all this stuff for years.

Thanks for support !

out of forum, somone asked me what "real" things i posted before, i cant remember all, but i always said there were no holes in the idol eyes, i had a screenused hat in hand, i said 2 or 3 years ago there was no lining inside and it was also the case from some raiders hats and some years later... oh surprise ! a ToD hat is for sale and there is no lining.....just exemple
well, i have the impression to make me more important than i am, of course not...it's just to tell some time the truth is here...

That's why I love this forum. Before I joined COW, I had no contact with anyone or anything related to the Indiana Jones trilogy beyond the theater screen and later my television screen. Yet, now I am able to communicate with--and gain knowledge from--people who were personally involved with production, or people who knew people personally involved in production. Thanks to the internet, it's a small world afterall. (I'll try not to break out in song)

Oh, ok. Well, I believe ya, man. There's no reason for me not to. However, you have to cut us a little slack for being career skeptics over here. A lot of people have passed through here in the years this forum has been around, claiming to be someone involved with production of Indy 4, or that they know this or that famous person. It's just like how all of us gearheads are when someone tells us they have a hat that looks "just like" the ones used in the movies. Because we've been around the block with that issue so many times, whenever we hear a hatter or hat store shopkeep claiming to have such wares, we're immediately skeptical until we see the actual product. Because, as I'm sure you know, a lot of people don't know the differences between one hat and another, so what looks like the film hats to them won't look like that at all to us.

I'm sure we've chased away our fair share of legit people, too ... I remember that one debate with that dude who said he owned all kinds of different screen used items. You can't just come at us, this admittedly hardcore group of fans, and say something like: "I know George Lucas personally" without expecting some form of scrutiny.

Cool pic! Yeah, a lot of those Disney Indiana Jones stuntmen had lighter colored jackets & hats. When I saw the stuntshow, in person, in DisneyWorld 3 years ago the first thing I noticed when he came outta the roof was this dang lighter jacket that was huge on him, lol.
