off the rack Wested E-bay...Opinions

Post by Raiders-Energizer »

I need your input and insight when it comes to buying an Indy jacket off the rack from Wested? I'm considered an average build, my height is 5'11" and my chest is 41 and waist 34. I would like a near military fit but yet a little room still. Does this mean I need to custom it or could I go to his E-bay page and ask for 'off the rack' jacket.

What could you guys recommend for someone who is interested in get Indy jacket!!

If you have the money, I'd say go for the custom one. There's nothing quite like the fit of a custom made jacket.

For what it's worth, I'm 5' 8" 42 chest, 34" waist, and I wear a size 44 A2/Indy style jacket. My experiences with this style of jacket is, they tend to run a little snug, some seem almost a full size smaller. My Wested is a 44 OTR and it is fine to wear with a t-shirt underneath, but it is still just big enough I can wear a sweater under it in the winter. Good luck!!

One of my Wested jackets is OTR and I have to admit that it is probably my favorite one.

Well, to be honest with you, Ideally I would like to have a more form fitting jacket base on the body type I'm at. Which is a more close to a slim jacket look but does not have to been screen accurate with the 'X' box stitching or pocket size or even the collar. To me that's getting into a nitpicking at who's the real Indiana Jones!! I believe what Peter(Wested) make is top quality and generally accurate replica leather jackets.

I have seen the Raider's movie when I was in junior high and now I would like a piece of that history starting with the jacket.... :notworthy:
